GeoTREE researchers receive NSF MRI Grant

Drs. Sugumaran, Pease, and Petrov (as well as Dr. Clayton in Biology and Dr. Kidd in Physics) received a $167,000 grant from the National Science Foundation under the Major Research Instrumentation Program (MRI). "Acquisition of a Hyperspectral Imaging System for Multidisciplinary Research" will allow the acquisition of technology for research and teaching applications in geography, biology, geology, and environmental sciences, as well as other potential areas such as the preservation of artwork or textile analysis.
