Nate completed his M.A. in Geography December 2005 at the University of Northern Iowa. His master thesis research involve use of airborne hyperspectral remote sensing to monitor water quality of inland lakes. Nathan’s current activities include developing new methodologies to monitor water quality of Iowa Lakes using space-borne hyperspectral data. This project will explore the use of ASTER, MODIS, Hyperion and LIDAR data in the monitoring of water quality. He will closely work with Iowa DNR and NASA Ames center.

Nick worked at GeoTREE and created a remote sensing educational tool using Macromedia Flash. His interactive software allows novice users to understand and learn basic principle and techniques of satellite remote sensing.
